Gary qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG. Since then he has accumulated 24 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas and Tech sectors carrying out acquisitions, disposals and bank funding. This included three years in his first CFO role in Texas, USA. More recently Gary has worked with Private Equity backed SME’s included the successful sale of Red Spider to Haliburton.
Sales & Operations Director
Ian brings 30+ years experience of successful operations management in high technology arenas including seismology instrumentation and oil and gas downhole solutions with companies such as Sondex, where he was General Manager, helping them through their integration into GE. He is responsible for Fotech’s strategic direction for solutions deployment globally.
Head of Innovation
As Head of Innovation, George is responsible for the development and deployment of Fotech’s integrated hardware and software solutions. George has 27 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, and prior to joining Fotech, built up and successfully divested two Oil and Gas related technology companies. Most recently, he provided consulting services to major oil and gas companies. George has a BApS in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia.
Sales & Product Line Director
As Fotech’s Product Line Director, Stuart works closely with partners and customers to develop and deliver cutting edge DAS solutions for a diverse range of markets and business challenges. Prior to joining the Fotech team Stuart spent three years with NuTech, experts in the field of Unconventional Oil & Gas building business in Europe and the Eastern Hemisphere with Operators and Investors. He also spent more than ten years with Sondex, a manufacturer of Wireline Logging Tools and Drilling Sensors holding the roles of Technical Sales responsible for sales in China, FSU and Eastern Europe; Product Line Leader and Global Account Manager. Stuart’s career in the oil industry began with Halliburton as a Wireline Field Engineer. Stuart holds a Master of Engineering degree from Cambridge University.

Office of the CTO
Peter has twelve years Optical Fibre Sensing Research and Development experience within the Oil & Gas industry. Primary development of first commercially deployed Distributed Pressure Sensing solution in 2006, extensive experience with development and deployment of DTS DSS, DPS, DVS, & DAS solutions for array of Oil & Gas applications. Lead development of multiple DAS signal processing solutions, co-chair for DAS Data Standards Committee, Patent Applications & Publications. Prior to industry 8 years academic Post-Grad & Post-Doctorate experimental and numerical modelling experience in the field of Nonlinear Dynamics.

With over 40 years of research experience, of which 31 have been spent specialising in fibre sensors, Vince helps drive innovation at Fotech to bring a diverse range of industries the greatest in photonic technology – with more breakthroughs to come!
With academic contributions in the UK and US, including 10 years of research in distributed fibre sensing at King’s College London, Vince has authored over 130 publications and five book chapters. His publications include the first ever fully distributed measurement of strain and temperature in an optical fibre using spontaneous Brillouin scattering.

As an enthusiastic member of the Fotech team, Dan is often found going the extra mile for customers. Working closely with clients he ensures each fully supported at every stage of their journey with Fotech; developing both trusted and lasting partnerships. His energising style never ceases to inspire clients with the great opportunities and possibilities of Fotech’s fibre sensing solutions. With over twenty years experience in the fibre optic industry (fifteen dedicated to serving customers in the distributed fibre sensing industry), Dan brings a wealth of in-depth technical knowledge, and continues to deliver expert advice to ensure clients receive the best and most cost-effective solutions for solving their business challenges.

Sales Manager - Americas
Kent is Fotech’s Sales Manager for the Americas. He has over 25 years in Technical Sales staring his Sales career and formal training with Hewlett Packard. He started his focus in Fibre Optics in 1996 and has worked with a number of successful start-ups and mid-cap companies delivering revenue and growth in their associated markets. Successes include Queensgate Instruments, Cidra, Laird, Noisecom and IQE plc. He has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology and a Master in Science in Business Marketing from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

Head of Engineering
David directs the activities of Fotech’s highly skilled software and hardware engineering teams. He oversees a range of projects, from system architecture design to software development, to ensure high quality products are consistently delivered to our clients. With over 30 years of experience, working as an electronics engineer, software engineer, project manager and engineer manager, at companies big and small, David brings a wealth of experience to Fotech – helping to drive excellence at the core of our organisation.
Chief Executive Office
Chris created and led the Telecom division of Queensgate Instruments, which sold to SDL in 2000. He later became CEO of Indigo Photonics, which was subsequently acquired by Insensys in 2003 and is now part of Schlumberger and Moog. Most recently Chris was CEO of Ezurio, a spin off from TDK, where he successfully commercialised their Bluetooth, WLAN and M2M technology, which led to the acquisition of the business by Laird Technologies in 2008.
