As part of our Meet the team feature, we’ve been lucky enough to catch up with Rupert who is the Lead Project Engineer within Fotech’s Applied Research & Development team.
How long have you worked for Fotech?
For six years now – I joined in January 2015!
What do you enjoy most about the work you do?
The opportunity to travel, having to think on my feet, the fact that my day to day job varies depending on the projects I’m involved in, and the enormity of ways the technology can be applied.
Fotech is developing new and exciting technology all the time – How do you see Fotech’s world-class technology playing a part in daily life in the future?
With the wealth of information and data that can be extracted from the sensor, and the myriad of ways it can be augmented/harvested, I can see mass adoption in the near future!
How have your different experiences been beneficial to your role?
Over the course of my career at Fotech I have had the opportunity to work directly with clients, manage projects and deliver said projects on or ahead of schedule. All of these experiences have enabled me to converse with individuals at all levels of the business and become a more rounded team member.
What do you enjoy most about being part of the (department) team?
The thing that I enjoy the most about being a member of the Field Engineering Team is the camaraderie and the willingness of all team members to get stuck in. Regardless of the complexity of the task, we are in it together and believe that this is reflected in the way we execute projects.
