As part of our Meet The Team feature we’ll be sharing with you interviews with the people behind Fotech and the diverse roles they perform in our organisation.   It was great to be able to talk in-depth with Nathan about his role as Fotech’s Talent Manager.

What is your current role in Fotech?

My role is Talent Manager. My role covers everything from recruiting people and ensuring that experience is great to ensuring we have the environment, culture and tools in place to helping all our employees develop and become the best they can be.

How long have you worked for Fotech?

6 Months, I had the weird experience of joining early in the lockdown so everything in my recruitment was virtual. Crazy times to say the least!

What do you enjoy most about the work you do?

I truly believe we are building something unique and special here at Fotech. Taking on this role has been a huge learning curve and I’ve really enjoyed the challenge and growth this has bought me since April!

A lot of the work I’m doing right now is behind the scenes stuff but we are going to start being more vocal about some projects to our teams and begin to deliver them into the business. Also super excited about what we are looking at doing for 2021 and helping Fotech take those next steps.

What are your thoughts on Fotech being a part of bp Launchpad?

Being part of BP Launchpad is huge for us. Not only does it give us the support and platform to grow the business through 2020 but we have significant growth for 2021!

Having the connections within Launchpad is a huge help breaking walls down and helping shape the direction we go in. The team at Launchpad really are awesome.

What’s your favourite part of your role at Fotech?

I get to talk to different people each day. Working on how we continue to build on our culture and improve things as we grow is hugely challenging but so rewarding when you see things going well.

Is there anything exciting coming up for you?

There’s so much going on right now! Looking into our scaling plan for 2021 and working out how to deliver it is great and I cant wait to bring the next wave of people into Fotech. The nerdy side of me is also really excited about the new HR systems/initiatives I’m working on!
