We are pleased to be hosting a webinar again with the Fiber Optic Sensing Association (FOSA) to discuss how DAS technology is providing smarter ways to improve and manage the efficiency of transport networks.
When it comes to smart cities, DAS is set to be a vital part in the technology puzzle. To find out more do join us on Thursday.
“With the rapid growth of cloud technology over last few years and the internet of things increasingly reaching many parts of our lives – Fotech looks at how these technologies are now poised to harness the power of distributed acoustic sensors, “DAS”, in our urban environments – making them safer and more efficient places to live and work. Drawing on its wealth of experience in a range of industries over the last ten years, Fotech explores how many of its existing solutions can be readily applied to the fiber networks already in place in cities today- and how decade old visions of DAS enabled cities are becoming a reality in the City of Calgary”
FOSA are hosting the webinar on Thursday 20th September at 2:00 pm American/Eastern Time.

The Fiber Optic Sensing Association is dedicated to accelerating the use of distributed fibre sensing technologies. Fibre optic sensing can be deployed to continuously monitor vehicle movement, human traffic, digging activity, seismic activity, temperatures, structural integrity, liquid and gas leaks, and many other conditions and activities. It is used around the world to monitor power stations, telecom networks, railways, roads, bridges, international borders, and critical infrastructure, terrestrial and subsea power and pipelines, and downhole applications in oil, gas and enhanced geothermal electricity generation.
